I adore the colours used in these cupcake wrappers and although they were originally intended for Easter celebrations, any time you have cupcakes is a good time.

Fill them with lollies, or maybe flower heads for a table centrepiece.

Kitty Boo Boo Handmade Wedding - Colour Scheme

We have arrived at post #3. Hi again, and thanks for joining me!


This post is all about the colour scheme! Such an important part of any wedding, as it is usually what dictates everything from shoes to bridesmaids dresses, flowers and linen.


As I stated in my last post, my shoes are the foundation for the colour scheme. They are comprised of vintage hues of Silver Blue, Dusky Rose, Mint Green and Soft Yellow Gold.


I went and found some paint swatches that matched my shoes and began collecting fabric swatches as I intended to make the bridesmaids dresses and my daughters dress as well as the flowers.


These swatches made my life so easy. I carried them around and they were so good for a quick reference!

All things Tea Party

So Tea Parties have been on my mind ever since the women in my family have decided to pool together every qtr and drink tea, coffee, booze and hang out. We're talking cousins, Aunts, Grandparents, 2nd cousins, etc etc.

I'm hosting the next one. It will be the 4th Tea Party and I have been inspired by so many things ... as it's going to be in March I've decided everyone must come with a hat on their head.

I think that eventually I'll let colour dictate the rest ...

Today I had a day without children. With Er-Bear at school and the little man at daycare, it meant I had an entire free day to either carve it up on the sewing machine or do a spot of shopping child free.

Hmmm ... how long did it take you to work out what I did?

First stop was the Department of Transport to renew my license. I wanted a new pic because the last one was taken just after I had Sam and I was a bit post preggo puffy. (Vanity ... oh dear)

Around the corner from the DT is a favourite Thrift Shop and it's only recently opened up again after the christmas break so I ducked in there and found these little pretty bargains

I stopped at a cafe next and had a pot of tea (and read a tattoo mag - for inspiration) and visited the Post Office where I sent off my first ever Etsy sale item. I usually get sales from eBay but I love Etsy so much more and it's so much more affordable!

After the PO I dropped in to Funky Fabrix to have a sticky beak. Of course I couldn't help myself and here are my new lovelies ...

Repose

While Erin was at Grandma's I found Sam in her room. He was quietly playing on her bed with her dolls so I left him there thinking he missed her and wanted to play with her things like they do together.

A short while later I found him lying on the floor staring up virtually without blinking so I crept in to see what had him so enthralled.
A friend of mine Shellee had given Erin a helium butterfly balloon and it was through this Kaleidoscope that Sam was staring ... and oh so pretty
