BOUT 2: Love Rockettes vs Diner-might Dolls

The 2nd roller derby bout of the season, on May 15, will follow a tremendously successful start for the Northern Brisbane Rollers.

The good news is NBR is doing this again. We know that Brisbane loves derby and the next bout will be better than ever. More bars, shorter queues, more grandstand seating, and the same old ready to rumble attitude.

Roller Derby is truly the BEST SPECTATOR SPORT EVER! Two all girl, roller skate wearing teams of 5, compete against each other around an oval track. Roller derby is a fast-paced full contact womens team sport that requires speed, strategy, and athleticism.

Ever since I was a kid I have been fascinated with skating ... speed, agility, bumping, banging, crashing ... sweeeeet. My first skates didn't have a key but they were adjustable. I use to borrow my Aunties Skates and roll around the streets of Alexandria in Sydney, and Xanadu was GOLD. Derby takes it that one step further ... it's tough and it's amazing ...
How cool is it that it's had a resurgence! I love all things Derby and now you can too
